How to measure your dog for the perfect coat

To ensure the best fit for your StormsCozyCanineCoat, you'll need a soft measuring tape. For accurate measurements, make sure your pet is standing squarely. If necessary, ask someone to hold them still while you measure:

  1. Back length: Measure from the base of the collar to the base of the tail. This is the most important measurement for our coats.
  2. Neck circumference: Measure around the neck, just as you would for a collar.
  3. Chest circumference: Measure around the fullest part of your dog's chest, typically just behind the front legs.

Key measurements and adjustability

While we take all measurements into consideration, the most crucial one is the back length, measured from the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. Our coats are designed with adjustable features around the neck and chest, allowing for a snug and comfortable fit for various dog breeds and sizes.

What if your dog is between sizes?

If your dog's measurements fall between two of our sizes, we recommend opting for the larger size. Thanks to the adjustable neck and chest features on all our coats, going up a size will ensure a comfortable fit without being too restrictive.
